GET THE THERAPY YOU DESERVE...

Abby Delouya LMFT

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, I work with individuals, couples, and families facing a range of personal and relational challenges. I recognize that reaching out for support can be difficult, and creating an environment where clients feel safe, respected, and understood is foundational to my work.

A primary focus of my practice is supporting betrayed partners of sex addicts, as well as couples navigating the impact of sex addiction on their relationship. I also work with clients experiencing relationship and communication difficulties, challenges with marital intimacy, childhood and developmental trauma, and the effects of sexual abuse.

My approach is client-centered, compassionate, and goal-oriented. I work collaboratively with clients to develop greater insight into their experiences and relationship patterns, identify meaningful goals, and create practical pathways toward change. I strive to balance the depth and sensitivity that therapeutic work requires with a focus on meaningful and achievable progress.

In addition to my private practice, I serve as Director of Intake and a Group Facilitator for Ray of Hope, a nonprofit organization supporting Jewish survivors of sexual abuse. In this capacity, I assist individuals in accessing appropriate support and facilitate professionally led peer support groups for survivors.

My professional experience includes providing clinical services in a residential drug and alcohol rehabilitation facility and working as an addiction counselor in public and alternative school settings. I have also worked in high schools and colleges as a teacher and administrator. In addition, I regularly contribute to Family First and Mishpacha Magazine, writing on mental health and other topics.

I am committed to continued professional development, with a particular focus on trauma-informed treatment, addiction, and relationship work. I am a certified EMDR practitioner through EMDRIA and a Certified Partner Trauma Therapist (CPTT) through IITAP. My additional training includes the Belief Focused Approach to Psychotherapy, Sexual Reintegration Therapy, and Gottman Relationship Training.

I am licensed to practice in New York State and in Canada.
